This is an install guide for Zimbra 8.6 on CentOS 7.1. This guide should help you get Zimbra email server – Open Source Edition up and running on CentOS.
Initial Setup:
Use hosts file to setup FQDN for Zimbra server
vim /etc/hosts

Disable SELINUX, Firewalld. Since Zimbra will install Postfix, MySQL and webserver, we need to remove these packages if already installed.

Installation of Zimbra Collaboration – Open Source Edition
Use wget to download the Zimbra Collaboration Suite 8.6 from Zimbra site. Extract the package – zcs-8.6.0_GA_1153.RHEL7_64.20141215151110.tgz

Run the installer. We are using ‘–platform-override‘ option in command because installation script is only for Redhat Linux but we are installing on CentOS 7 machine so to override the Platform condition.
# ./install.sh --platform-override

Now do the following steps for basic house keeping:
Restart Crond service and enable it to start with system
#systemctl enable crond

Edit rsyslog.conf file and uncomment the following two lines under UDP syslog reception
#vi /etc/rsyslog.conf
$modload imupd # Uncomment this line
$UDPServerRun514 # Uncomment this line
#vi /etc/rsyslog.conf
$modload imupd # Uncomment this line
$UDPServerRun514 # Uncomment this line
Restart the rsyslogd service to changes take effect and enable to start with system
#systemctl enable rsyslog
#systemctl restart rsyslog
#systemctl enable rsyslog
#systemctl restart rsyslog
Now let’s open any of your favourite web browser to access Zimbra Administration Console using the configured Zimbra domain name or IP with user admin and password same as setup in the script:

Congratulations! Zimbra Collaboration Suite has been setup successfully with Open Source Edition using Single Server Installation.
